Bocas del Toro Day Tours

TOUR 1

Tour: 4 in 1. Dolphins Bay, Crawl Key, Red Frog Beach and Hospital Point.

Activities: Snorkeling, Boat Ride, Enjoy the nature and beach

Duration: 7-8 hours approx.

Price: $55 USD per person.

Our boat departs at 9:30, so we ask guests to arrive no later than 9:15 (reserve in advance as this is our most popular tour). The first stop on the tour is Dolphin Bay, with Isla Cristobal and the mountains of the Continental divide as a stunning backdrop. Watch bottlenose dolphin frolic in their natural habitat.

After watching these magnificent creatures we depart to Crawl Cay for our first snorkeling experience. Explore a beautiful coral reef and see a variety of colorful tropical fish, sponges, crabs, lobsters and shrimp. After snorkeling we stop at one of the three landmark restaurants in Crawl Cay for a quick lunch (not included) After lunch we head to Bastimentos Island and Red Frog Beach, one of the most scenic beaches in the archipelago. After an easy ten minute walk along a manicured path through the rainforest (where it is not unusual to see monkeys, sloths, and the famous red frogs), you come upon a beautiful beach with white sand. Enjoy frolicking in the waves or just stretch out and soak up the sun, the choice is yours. After the beach excursion, we head to Isla Solarte where we snorkel the dramatic vertical reef known locally as Hospital Point. This reef explodes with color as fish dart in and out of dense stands of coral. After snorkeling at Hospital Point, the boat returns to the dock between 4:00 and 4:30.

Note: Bring money for lunch; Entrance to private road leading Red Frog Beach is $3 per person, payable directly.

To Bring: water, bathing suit, towel, hat, sunscreen and money for food.

Nearby we will spend time on Star Beach, a beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear waters where you can spend time in the calm and safe reefs and see a colourful variety of Starfish on Starfish beach. Our last stop is Bird Island. This tiny rocky formation just off the coast of Isla Colon is home to many species of Birds, especially marine birds.
